Where microorganisms reside

Our imaging technology allows us to capture with ultimate precision the position, interactions, activity, and identification of microbes in real-time from intact samples.

What microorganisms are doing

We assess microbial activity and interactions by integrating biochemical imaging approaches and the incorporation of stable- and radiolabeled isotopes, and quantify these processes.

How microorganisms alter their environment

With our broad range of analytical capabilities, we can determine how microbes are interacting and altering their environmental conditions.

Bioimaging Core

At the Bioimaging Core, users receive individualized training in optical microscopy for both data acquisition and analysis, with ongoing support provided as needed.

Analytical Core

At the Analytical Core, users are trained to run their own samples and standards and analyze data.

Services

We provide one-on-one training, method development, proposal writing, troubleshooting, and data analysis services to help you meet your analytical and imaging needs.

Our imaging and analytical Core labs are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and methods to provide you with the best results and images of your biofilm or other sample types.
