Kelli has worked in the Standardized Biofilm Methods Lab since 2002. She has worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from disinfectant efficacy and treated surfaces testing to the study of biofilm in draught beer, drinking water, the built environment, and textile biofilms. Kelli writes and maintains the SBML’s library of Standard Operating Procedures under the lab’s Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)-consistent status. In conjunction with SOP duties, she performs regular QC tasks on various lab equipment. Additionally, she trains visiting biofilm researchers on standardized biofilm methods, fields biofilm research questions, and gives technical research presentations to the biofilm community.
